Greci (in Arbëresh , IPA : [ ar'bəreʃ ] : Katundi ) is an Italian commune with 627 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the province of Avellino in the Campania region . The municipality is part of the Comunità Montana dell'Ufita mountain community .

geography

The place is in the Valle del Cervaro , a valley in the border region of the provinces of Foggia and Avellino. The neighboring municipalities are Ariano Irpino , Castelfranco in Miscano ( BN ), Faeto ( FG ), Montaguto , Orsara di Puglia ( FG ) and Savignano Irpino . The districts are Masseria Tre Fontane and Fontana Babola.

history

Mongrassano was repopulated by Albanian refugees (Arbëresh) around 1461 .
