Gustav Adolf Friedrich Wilhelm Haarmann (born on January 25, 1876 in Witten ; died on November 23, 1948 in Bonn ) was a Prussian administrative officer and district administrator in Gummersbach and Bonn.

Life

childhood and education

Gustav Haarmann was the son of the city ​​councilor of the same name and later mayor of the city of Witten, Gustav Haarmann and Julie Haarmann, née. Schmieding. After attending the secondary school in his hometown and the grammar school in Trarbach , he studied law at the universities of Würzburg , Berlin ( winter semester 1895/96), Heidelberg (summer semester 1896) and Bonn ( matriculation May 8, 1897; visit including winter semester 1897/98 ). With the completion of his studies Haarmann entered the Prussian administrative service on June 13, 1898 as a court trainee. On June 19, 1901, he moved to the interior as a government trainee.

Career

With his appointment as a government assessor on April 22, 1904 (with seniority from April 30, 1903) Gustav Haarmann was employed as an unskilled worker at the district office in Deutsch-Krone in West Prussia . On October 1, 1906, he moved to the Cologne government . Haarmann initially took over the administration of the district of Gummersbach on a provisional basis from January 1, 1911 , before the management was transferred to him with a certificate from July 25 to August 1, 1911. In the unification of the districts of Gummersbach and Waldbröl , which came into force on October 1, 1932 , he remained in office as the first district administrator of the newly formed Oberberg district . After the National Socialists came to power , he took over the management of the district office of the district of Bonn on April 20, 1933 , before this position was temporarily transferred to him by decree of April 26 and he was finally transferred to Bonn on September 1, 1933. In accordance with his application of October 25, 1935, for retirement, he left the service on February 1, 1936. Gustav Haarmann was a member of the DVP .

The Protestant Gustav Haarmann married on June 14, 1904 in Witten Luise Müllensiefen (born on August 1, 1881 in Witten; died on October 5, 1955 in Bonn), the daughter of the factory owner and councilor Theodor Müllensiefen and his wife Elise, née. Eiffert.
