Hainrode is a district of the city and rural community Bleicherode in the Nordhausen district in Thuringia in Germany .
location
Hainrode is located on the northern roof of the Hainleite at the transition to the Wipperaue near Hünstein . The place lies in the Teichtal between the mountain spurs Gatterberg in the west, Cains in the south and Wöbelsburg in the east.
history
On January 1, 2019, the municipalities of Hainrode, Friedrichsthal , Kleinbodungen , Kraja , Etzelsrode , Nohra , Wipperdorf and Wolkramshausen as well as the city of Bleicherode merged to form the new city and rural municipality of Bleicherode. The community of Hainrode was a member of the administrative community Hainleite .

Attractions
On the south-eastern outskirts there is a manor house named Wöbelsburg after a mountain spur above Hainrode (former owner: von Bila ), the first construction phase of which dates back to the 12th century, but which was mainly built in the 16th century and expanded a little after reunification has been. During the GDR era and until 1997, a children's home was housed in the building. The building is a listed building and is now owned by the State of Thuringia.
The church was built in the 17th century. The tower comes from the previous building from the 14th century.
Easter tradition
Every year at Easter, the Hainröder men's and boys' association carries out the traditional ball beating . On Easter Sunday there is a parade led by the association, during which the heritage bear, a man wrapped in straw, is led through the village.
