history

Just one year after it was founded on December 14, 1893, the Extraordinary General Assembly decided on October 2, 1984 to build a hut on Parzinnbühl. Although the hut was completed in 1896, the inauguration ceremony could only take place on July 19, 1897. At that time the hut was 6 × 6.5 m in size, had a master bedroom for 5–6 people, a female bedroom for 3–4 people and a hay store in the roof area for guides and country people.

In 1906 an expansion was decided at the general assembly, which was inaugurated on July 20, 1909. The hut now had 4 twin rooms and a dormitory for 20 people. The hut was also managed on a permanent basis.

In 1913 the construction of a cowshed and wood storage was approved, but the construction could only be completed after the First World War in 1920.

In 1921 a further expansion for 45,000 marks was decided. However, on December 18, 1923, it was announced at the general meeting that construction was impossible due to inflation. Two years later, in 1925, it was announced that the inflation was over and that the hut would finally be expanded for 65,000 marks. The expansion was completed on July 30, 1926.

In 1963, the material ropeway was put into operation, the construction of which took 2 years and cost 45,025 DM.

On September 23, 1973 an extension could be inaugurated, now the hut had 113 beds.

Between 1975 and 1979 the hut was fundamentally renovated, including: new sewage treatment plant, the former stable became a winter room, several mattress stores were installed, thermal insulation, expansion of the tenant's apartment, expansion of conference rooms. Now the hut had a total of 123 beds. The inauguration took place on September 27, 1979.
