The Memminger Hütte is an alpine club hut of the Memmingen section of the German Alpine Club in the Lechtal Alps , Tyrol , Austria .
location
The Memminger Hütte is located at 2242 m above sea level. A. am Unteren Seewisee. The Mittlere and Obere Seewisee are nearby, ½ hour from the hut.
Accesses
- from Bach via Madau to the parking lot at about 1450 m below the hut (only accessible with a regular taxi), from Bach 5.5 hours, from the parking lot 2 hours
Neighboring huts and crossings
- To the Ansbacher Hütte via the Grießscharte and the Winterjoch in 5½ hours. Rope insurance on the ascent from the Grießscharte, which can be uncomfortable when iced over. Inexperienced people should only undertake the path in the company of experienced mountain hikers or guides.
- To the Augsburger Hütte via the Spiehlerweg in 5 hours. First past the Seewiseen to the Wegscharte, over the Parseierjoch, the deepest point of the middle ridge (rope insurance) and further over the remains of the Patrolferner to the Steilschrofen of the Patrolscharte . Over the crags, long passages secured by ropes, onto the patrol pass. From here on good slopes either directly through the Gasill Gorge or - recommended - over the Gatschkopf to the Augsburger Hütte. The ascent to the Patrolscharte can be difficult when it is wet, fresh snow or icing. Inexperienced people - even in good conditions - are strongly advised to be accompanied by experienced mountain hikers or a guide.
- To the Württemberger Haus in 4½ hours via Seescharte, Großbergkopf and -spitze. Short rope insurances in the crags on the descent from the Großbergspitze.
- To the Hanauer Hütte via Oberlahmsjöchl, Streichgampenjöchl, Alblitjöchl, Mintschejöchl, Vorderes Gufeljöchl and Gufelseejöchl in 8 hours.
European long-distance hiking trail E5
The European long-distance hiking trail E5 from Lake Constance to the Adriatic Sea leads from the Lech Valley via the Memminger Hütte and the Seescharte and the Zammer Loch to Zams .

- Seeköpfle, 2562 m , marked trail, ¾ hour.
- Oberlahmsspitze, 2658 m , 2 hours, climbing in difficulty level I +, climbing tracks, the ascent is described as impassable after storms.
- Seeköpf: Hinterer 2718 m , Middle 2702 m and Vorderer Seekopf 2685 m . We recommend a tour from the Wegscharte on the remains of old climbs over the Hinteren to the Mittleren to the Vorderen Seekopf, from there back to the Mittleren and directly over the northeast ridge down to the Obere Seewisee, including a descent of around 3 to 4 hours, climbing with difficulty level I +, mostly Walking area.
- Parseierspitze , 3036 m , over the Spiehlerweg south to the Patrolscharte and then over the east ridge or over the northern edge of the Grinnerferner, a good 6 hours.

- Ascent to a hut: On the summer path - like all tours in the central Lechtal Alps, only recommended in very avalanche-proof conditions.
