The Reuttener Hütte is an alpine club hut of the Reutte section of the Austrian Alpine Club in the Lechtal Alps , Tyrol , Austria .

location

The Reuttener Hütte is located at 1740  m on the northern ridge of the Abendspitze, above Berwang - Rinnen . It is a self-catering hut accessible with the Alpine Club key, but is partially manned on weekends.

history

As early as 1924, the Reutte section of the DuÖAV had built a mountaineering base on the Raaz. Since this hut was in a bad structural condition in 1960, it was decided to demolish the old building and build a new hut not far from it. The new building was then opened on August 30, 1964. At the place of the old hut (on the way to the Raazalm) there is a memorial stone today.

Accesses

It can be reached from Berwang-Rinnen in two hours or from Weißenbach through the Rotlechtal in four hours.

Neighboring huts and crossings

The Reuttener Hütte is pretty isolated. The path to the Anhalter Hut leads partly as a valley hike through the villages of Kelmen and Namlos in six hours.
