Hans Schoelermann

Hans Joachim Schoelermann (born September 20, 1890 in Hamburg , † October 6, 1969 in Berlin ) was a German actor .

Life

After training to be an actor in Hamburg , Hans Schoelermann received his first engagement at the Thalia Theater there in 1908 . From here it went u. a. to Osnabrück , Saarbrücken , Stuttgart , Düsseldorf and then to various Berlin theaters. From 1945 to 1948 he worked at the Hamburg theater Die Auslese , but also at the Berlin Friedrichstadt-Palast and the Berlin Volksbühne . From 1950 the character actor belonged to the ensemble of the Berlin German Theater , to which he belonged until 1961. Like many of his colleagues, he lived in West Berlin , but worked in East Berlin . After the Berlin Wall was built , he moved to West Berlin, where he still worked at several theaters. He was a sought-after actor in film as early as 1934.

There are various spellings of his name in the sources: Hans J. Schoelermann, Hans Joachim Schoelermann and Hans Schoelermann, with the latter predominating in a large majority.
