Hans Wagner (politician, 1915)
Hans Wagner (born May 5, 1915 in Nieder-Liebersbach ( Odenwald ), today a district of Birkenau ; † February 13, 1996 in Heppenheim / Bergstrasse ) was a Hessian politician ( CDU ).
Life
Hans Wagner passed the Abitur in Bensheim and studied classical philology and archeology in Heidelberg and Berlin. In the meantime, Wagner had become a member of the Sturmabteilung , but resigned from it in 1935 at his own request. He completed his studies in 1938 with a doctorate as Dr. Phil and the state examination in 1937. After his military service he was a professional teacher at the grammar school in Viernheim, most recently as senior director . He was a member of the Hessian state parliament from 1950 to 1982 and was chairman of the CDU parliamentary group from 1966 to 1970 and from 1972 to 1974. He was from 1970 to 1972 Parliament vice president and after the CDU in state elections had become from 27 October 1974 for the first time the strongest party in the Hesse state parliament, the first provided by the CDU state parliament president . He held this office until he left politics in 1982.
Hans Wagner was a member of the 3rd, 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th Federal Assembly .
Wagner was a member of the Catholic student union K.St.V. Ripuaria Heidelberg.
family
He was married and had five children. He lived in Heppenheim / Bergstrasse since the 1920s. His political convictions were shaped by a strong commitment to Christian values and the Catholic faith.
His brother, Otto Wagner (1913–2009), was persecuted by the Nazi regime , a local politician in the Bergstrasse district and from 1949 to 1989 chairman of the southern Hesse district of the CDU Hessen.
