Hell on Wheels ( English for: " Hell on Wheels ") is the first live album by the US true metal band Manowar and was released in 1997 as a double CD.

Emergence

The live album was recorded and produced as part of the Hell on Wheels - World Tour 1996/1997 . It includes songs from over 12 countries that Manowar toured in 1996 and 1997. With the exception of a piano interlude and the sound collage Warriors of the World , all songs come from the regular Manowar albums.

According to Joey DeMaio , around 60 shows were evaluated in order to give the fans the best possible result and to include more countries in the selection. Overdubs are not on the album.

  • The booklet contains, among other things, the entire tour dates of the Hell on Wheels World Tour .
  • The track Warriors of the World , which is at the end of the first CD, is not to be confused with the song Warriors of the World United , which was released on the studio album Warriors of the World in 2002 . This title is a combination of several concerts and speeches during the tour at that time .
