The College of the Holy Cross is a Jesuit college in Worcester , Massachusetts , USA.
history
The Liberal arts college was founded in 1843 by Benedict Joseph Fenwick , Bishop of Boston . It is the oldest Roman Catholic college in New England and one of the oldest in the United States.
The president is Rev. Philip L. Boroughs, SJ, the former Vice President for Mission and Ministry at Georgetown University . He succeeded Michael C. McFarland.
İbrahim Kalın , the chief foreign policy advisor to the Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan , as well as the Islamic scholar Caner Dagli , from 2006 to 2007 advisor on interreligious matters to the royal court of Jordan , are among his teachers.
The college was inscribed on the National Register of Historic Places on March 5, 1980 under number 80000491 .

The college's sports teams are the Crusaders . The university is a member of the Patriot League .
