Hugo Baron van Zuylen van Nijevelt (born July 7, 1781 in Rotterdam , † March 18, 1853 in The Hague ) was a Dutch diplomat and minister .

He was a conservative aristocrat and grew up in the Batavian Republic as the son of the Rotterdam regent Hugo de Groot . He was diplomatically active in Paris as well as in Madrid and Turkey . After returning from Turkey, he was appointed Foreign Minister.
