Willem Marcus van Weede van Berencamp
Jonkheer Willem Marcus van Weede van Berencamp (born November 9, 1848 in Amsterdam , † December 23, 1925 in Vienna ) was a Dutch diplomat and politician who was envoy to Austria between 1902 and 1925 and was foreign minister in the cabinet from April to August 1905 Kuyper was.
Life
Jonkheer Willem Marcus van Weede van Berencamp came from a noble family. His father was a member of the local council of Nijkerk and a member of the Provinciale Staten of the province of Gelderland , while his mother was Grand Master in the royal household of Queen Sophie . He himself entered the diplomatic service and was appointed Chamberlain in Extraordinary Service by Queen Wilhelmina on April 20, 1898 . On February 1, 1902, he was appointed Extraordinary Envoy and Plenipotentiary Minister in Austria-Hungary and remained in this post until April 22, 1905. At the same time, he acted between November 11, 1902 and April 20, 1905 as chairman of the examination commission for the exams in the consular service.
As the successor to his brother-in-law Robert Melvil van Lynden , van Weede van Berencamp briefly took over the post of Foreign Minister (Minister van Buitenlandse Zaken) in the Kuyper cabinet on April 22, 1905 and held this position until August 7, 1905.
Then Jonkheer Willem Marcus van Weede van Berencamp returned to Austria-Hungary as Envoy Extraordinary and Minister Plenipotentiary and remained in this diplomatic post until his death on December 23, 1925. He was also from November 27, 1920 to December 23, 1925 also accredited as envoy to the Kingdom of Romania .
From his 1878 marriage with Jongvrouw Volkertina Adriana van Haersma de With, the son Hendrik Maurits van Weede (1879–1912) emerged, who was also in the diplomatic service as a delegation secretary . However, because he died before his father, inherited in 1925 the nephew Hendrik Maurits van Haersma de With the estate De Berencamp in Nijkerk , the Willem Marcus van Weede 1898 by aristocratic family Pallandt had acquired.
