Hugo von Bosch
Hugo Bosch , knight of Bosch since 1850 , (born January 2, 1782 in Schillingsfürst ; † August 7, 1865 in Munich ) was a Bavarian lieutenant general .
Life
Bosch joined the officer service of the County of Hohenlohe-Schillingsfürst in 1795 . In 1806 he switched to the service of the Bavarian Army as a first lieutenant . He was promoted in 1810 to Captain , 1824. Major , 1834 to lieutenant colonel and in 1839 to Colonel . In this position he became commander of the infantry body regiment in 1841 ; as the first to have no title of nobility. In 1844, Bosch advanced to major general and brigadier , and took over as commandant of the federal fortress of Ulm . In 1850 the king awarded him the Knight's Cross of the Order of Merit of the Bavarian Crown . Associated with this was the elevation to the personal nobility status and he was allowed to call himself Ritter von Bosch after his entry in the nobility register . In 1852 he became lieutenant general and commander of the 4th division , and in 1861 president of the general auditorium .
From December 11, 1861 to January 20, 1862 and from July 11, 1863 to July 26, 1863, Bosch was ministerial administrator of the War Ministry .
