Hyun Wanner

Hyun Wanner , also Stefan-Hyun Wanner, (* 1975 ) is a German actor and restaurateur .

Life

Hyun Wanner is of German- Korean descent. He comes from Überlingen on Lake Constance . His mother Soon came to Germany as a nurse . His father was a branch manager at a bank.

Wanner already played theater during his school days at the Überlinger Gymnasium; he had u. a. Leading roles in the musical Linie 1 and in Andorra . After graduating from high school, he went to Berlin and completed a four-year acting course at the Ernst Busch Academy of Dramatic Art . Since then he has worked as a freelance actor.

In the Swiss movie Happiness Is a Warm Gun (2001), which stages the life and love story of the couple Petra Kelly and Gert Bastian , he was seen in the role of Tashi. He embodied the lover of Petra Kelly. In the feature film Big Girls Don't Cry (2002), a story about the growing up of the two 17-year-old friends Steffi ( Karoline Herfurth ) and Kati ( Anna Maria Mühe ), he played Jani, one of the two young men the two friends meet , and with whom they visit a scene club in Berlin. In the television movie Marriage Games (2003) he took on the role of Gene Okagami. He played a homosexual Japanese who lived with the artist Thomas ( Siegfried Terpoorten ), and who, in order to avoid being deported, married the much older restorer Rike ( Ute Willing ). He played the young Andi in the literary film adaptation of Baal (2004, with Matthias Schweighöfer in the leading role). Another film adaptation followed two years later with Peer Gynt (2006), this time with Robert Stadlober in the lead role.

In the film Sugar Orange (2004) by Andreas Struck , the story about the two school friends Leo (Mr. Sugar) and Clemens (Captain Orange), Wanner played the adult Clemens at the side of Lukas Gregorowicz , who had a homosexual relationship with Leos older brother Frank ( Bruno Cathomas ). In the Christmas television film Oh Tannenbaum (2007) with Günther Maria Halmer and Jutta Speidel in the leading roles, he played, again alongside Lukas Gregorowicz, the male model Steve, who is having an affair with another man. In the fairy tale film The Emperor's New Clothes (2010) he played the small role of the hairdresser.

He also had episode roles in the television series Balko (2002; as sushi chef Pachinko), Section 40 (2003; as Chinese Ah Hoishin Wainzin), METRO - A Team for Life and Death (2006; as Korean Kim Sung), In All Friendship (2008; again in a homosexual role as the partner of Oliver Broumis ), Commissioner Stolberg (2010; as Japanese interpreter Ken Kato) and The Last Bull (2010).

After a long film break, Wanner was seen in the movie Sister Weiß in 2015 , in which Lisa Martinek and Željka Preksavec played the leading roles, in a supporting role as Jan who does community service and looks after an old woman in need of care ( Sabine Hahn ). In the television thriller Das Nebelhaus , a Sat.1 production that first aired in November 2017, he played alongside Felicitas Woll .

Wanner also worked as a model , for example for Jette Joop , Diesel , Levi's and other companies.

In addition to his work as an actor, Wanner worked as a restaurateur in Berlin. From 2009 to 2013, as managing director and co-operator, together with his business partner Young-Mi Park-Snowden, he ran the Korean trendy restaurant “Kimchi Princess” and the “Soju Bar” in Berlin-Kreuzberg . With his business partner Felix Pahnke, he also opened the Korean restaurant “Dae Mon” on Monbijouplatz in Berlin-Mitte in October 2014 . In October 2015 he took part in the Berlin Food Week with the restaurant “Dae Mon”.

Since 2013, he and his wife Karina Wanner-Kirschner have also owned the “Zsa Zsa & Loui” café in Berlin-Neukölln . He had met his wife through her part-time job as a waitress / bartender in the bar of the “Kimchi Princess” restaurant. The couple is now separated.

Wanner has one son. He lived with his family in Berlin-Wedding . Wanner currently lives (as of January 2018) in Berlin-Prenzlauer Berg .
