Oliver Broumis (born July 31, 1965 in Hanover ) is a German actor .

Life

After graduating from high school , he studied at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Hamburg . He also trained with American coaches in Los Angeles .

His first professional work after drama school was the German-Swiss film Immer & Ewig . At the same time he had his first engagements at various German theaters . In 2004 he played the zoo director Bernhard Grzimek in the docudrama Grzimek, a German legend . In the film Between Head and Sky , also in 2004, he first worked as a creative producer.

Since 2010 he has been working with a director on a screenplay for a film about death and the process of dying. The film asks the question whether to live in the awareness of one's own finitude every second would not bring us a tremendous increase in quality of life.

In 2013 he did the Raindance Berlin Documentary Foundation Course ( Raindance Film Festival ) because he started working on two documentaries.

Since 2013 he has been a trainer and director for prison theater in the JVA Berlin-Pankow for the projects “Heimat” and “Identity”.

He is a member of the German Film Academy and the European Film Academy . He is also a founding member of the Federal Association of Film and TV Actors BFFS .
