Ilyinskoje-Khovanskoje ( Russian Ильи́нское-Хова́нское ) is an urban-type settlement in Ivanovo Oblast in Russia with 3426 inhabitants (as of October 14, 2010).

geography

The place is located about 75 km as the crow flies west of the Ivanovo Oblast Administrative Center . The left Nerl tributary Uchtoma flows a few kilometers to the east .

Ilyinskoye-Chowanskoje is the administrative center of the Rajons Ilyinsky and seat of the municipality Ilyinskoye gorodskoje posselenije, which also includes the 19 surrounding villages Alexejewskoje, Derewenki, Fedjakowo, Fjodorowskoje, Frolzewo, Gari, Koltschigino, Maurino, Nasornoje, Nikitinskoje, Nikolskoye, Penja Poljanki, Redrikowo , Schirjajewo, Schumjatino, Spirki, Stonjatino and Werigino belong.

history

The place was first mentioned in 1619, when he by decree of Tsar Mikhail I. into the possession of Prince Dmitry Pozharsky came. From the end of the 18th century it belonged to the Ujesd Rostow of the Yaroslavl governorate and became the seat of a Volost .

On June 10, 1929 Ilyinskoye-Khovanskoye was the administrative seat of a newly created Rajon. In 1979 the place received the status of an urban-type settlement.

To the north Ilyinskoye-Khovanskoye is bypassed by the regional road 24K-260, which leads from Ivanovo via Teikowo to the border of Yaroslavl Oblast , from there as 78K-0045 to the federal highway M8 Moscow  - Yaroslavl - Arkhangelsk north of Rostov, which runs a good 30 km northwest .

The nearest train stations are in Rostov on the Moscow - Yaroslavl route and in Teikowo, 50 km to the east, on the Alexandrow  - Ivanovo route.
