action

The wealthy businessman Pierre Levasseur has had a relationship with top model Elena Simonsen for two years. Because he does not want to separate from his wife, Elena tells him on the day of their meeting that she will no longer wait for him. Meanwhile, François Pignon, a small employee of a posh restaurant, who always parks customers' cars, calls on the bookseller Émilie, but is turned back by her. She sees him as more of a brother, as they have known each other since childhood. After their separation, Pierre and Elena go out of the house together and are photographed by a paparazzo as François, who is destroyed on the floor, is walking through the picture. The next day the photo was printed in the newspaper and Pierre's wife Christine expected an explanation. Pierre spontaneously claims that it is not him but the other man in the picture who is with the woman in the photo. Pierre cannot afford to separate from Christine, as she holds 60% of the shares in his company.

Pierre's lawyer visits François and offers him money if he pretends to be with Elena for a few days. Since Émilie had confessed to him at their meeting that he owed 32,450 euros, François now wants exactly this amount for the lie. Elena, in turn, blackmailed Pierre, who once again promised her a divorce from his wife: She had him transfer 20 million euros to an account in a tax haven. Should Pierre divorce his wife after a month, he will get the money back. Christine hires a private detective to track down and question François. Pierre's lawyer is faster, however, and so Christine meets Elena on her first visit to François, who immediately plays his girlfriend. In the years that followed, the two of them were seen together more and more often, so they went out to eat together, Elena visited François at work and he followed her to a fashion show where she ran for Karl Lagerfeld . Soon the press is talking about an upcoming wedding. This makes François interesting for other attractive women, but Émilie doesn't want to have anything more to do with him. Pierre, on the other hand, is getting angrier and angrier because he also has Elena shadowed and is outraged that the two seem to be getting closer and closer to each other according to the photos. Christine has found out from her detective that Pierre also has the couple monitored and therefore knows that everything is only staged. François and Elena are too easily monitored in François' apartment, as he has no curtains in his apartment. Without further ado, Christine had curtains put up in his apartment. Pierre, who was about to give up Elena for Christine, changes his plans, believing that François and Elena only put up the curtains to secretly get closer. On the phone, Pierre is now berating François. He is desperate, but his chances of winning Émilie back are getting worse and worse. It is Elena who speaks to her and can both reconcile.

Pierre is finally confronted by Christine. She tells him that she had the curtains put up. He assures her that he no longer loves Elena and that he never wanted to put his marriage at risk. Christine secretly tapes the conversation. On the advice of his lawyer, Pierre wants to meet Elena one last time and lie to her in order to have a last day together. Elena thinks he wants to get back with her, but then receives the tape. While François and Émilie become a couple with Elena's help and plan their wedding, Elena takes revenge on Pierre. She lets François tell him that she knows about his conversation with Christine and that she never wants to see him again. When he gets out of the car, he is spoken to and touched by a drag queen. At that moment a paparazzo appears - the next photos are taken, which make it into the gossip press and will make Pierre appear in a bad light.
