Inka Friedrich (born March 7, 1965 in Freiburg im Breisgau ) is a German actress .

Life

Inka Friedrich received her acting lessons from 1984 to 1988 at the HdK in Berlin . After graduating from drama school, she was engaged at Theater Basel , where she had her first great success as Käthchen von Heilbronn under the direction of Cesare Lievi . Theater heute magazine voted her young actress of the year in 1990. From 1991 to 1998 she had her second permanent engagement at the Deutsches Schauspielhaus in Hamburg . She has been working as a freelance actress since 1998, where she worked at the Schauspielhaus Zurich and the Burgtheater in Vienna. She had great success at the Schaubühne am Lehniner Platz in Berlin as "Sonja" in Uncle Wanja under the direction of Andrea Breth . Under the direction of Andreas Dresen she also played at the Deutsches Theater in Berlin as "Karoline" in Kasimir and Karoline von Ödön von Horváth .

After some television work, she made her cinema debut under the direction of Andreas Dresen, who starred her in Willenbrock (2005) and Sommer vorm Balkon (2005).

Friedrich is a member of the German Film Academy .
