The Irsen is a 35.5 km long and orographically left tributary of the Our in the Rhineland-Palatinate Eifelkreis Bitburg-Prüm ( Germany ).

The Irsen rises about two kilometers west of Heckhuscheid at an altitude of 536 m above sea level. NHN . The source is in Irsenfenn on the southwest slope of the Dackscheidberg ( 569.4 m above sea level ) in the area of the local community Großkampenberg and about 600 m south of the border with Belgium . The Irsen initially flows in a southerly direction between the local communities Großkampenberg in the east and Lützkampen in the west. After about four kilometers it swings to the southwest, takes the Primmerbach from the left and passes Harspelt and Sevenig (Our) to the east and Roscheid to the west . After another four kilometers it swings to the southeast to Irrhausen . There it takes the Mannerbach from the left , now flows in a southerly direction to the Daleiden district of Falkenauel. Here it flows around the castle hill ( 395.7 m above sea level ), then takes on Heimbach and Mühlbach from the right at the power mill belonging to Preischeid . Flowing in a southerly direction, it passes Affler and Überisenbach and flows west of Gemünd at 233 m above sea level. NHN in the Our .
The difference in height of around 303 meters results in an average bed gradient of 8.5 ‰. The Irsen drains a 125.39 km² catchment area via Our, Sauer , Moselle and Rhine to the North Sea .
