Jakob Büchler

Jakob Büchler (born May 29, 1952 in Schänis , Canton St. Gallen ; resident in Appenzell ) is a Swiss politician ( CVP ). He was a member of the National Council from 2003 to 2018 .

Life

Büchler was cantonal councilor in St. Gallen from 1988 to 2003 and cantonal president between 2001 and 2002. In the elections on October 19, 2003 , he was elected to the National Council for the canton of St. Gallen. In the National Council, he has a seat in the Security Policy Commission (SiK) and in the Business Audit Commission (GPK) . In addition, he is a delegate to the Parliamentary Assembly of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization NATO V and tellers at the office of the National Council and member of the 2013 founded at the initiative of beverage manufacturers lobby group for sweet drinks IG soft drinks .

He resigned from the National Council in 2018; Nicolo Paganini took over his seat .

The Federal dipl. Master farmer has five children and is a farmer by profession. Büchler currently lives in Rufi . He has the military degree of private.
