Roland Rino Büchel (born October 8, 1965 in Altstätten ; resident in Rüthi ) is a Swiss politician ( SVP ) from Oberriet .

Roland Rino Büchel was elected to the St. Gallen Cantonal Council in 2004. In the 2007 National Council elections , he was the first substitute on the SVP's St. Gallen list. With the resignation of Jasmin Hutter , he was able to move into the National Council on March 1, 2010 . In the parliamentary elections in 2011 and 2015 he was confirmed in office. On June 26, 2019, he was nominated as a candidate for the 2019 Council of States election by the SVP Kanton St. Gallen .

Life

In addition to his national council mandate, Büchel works as a freelance sports manager . From 1992 to 1999 he was responsible for sponsoring the Swiss Cheese Union . After that he was a manager at the sports marketing company ISL and at FIFA marketing until 2002 . He later became a critic of FIFA structures.

Büchel is single and has one child.
