Arne Dahl
Jan Lennart Arnald (born January 11, 1963 ), known by his pseudonym Arne Dahl , is a Swedish author .
Life
Arnald is a Swedish author and literary scholar. He publishes crime novels and thrillers under his pseudonym Arne Dahl. He has published three books under his own name with Bonniers . He also writes regularly for Dagens Nyheter .
Jan Arnald had his breakthrough as a writer in 1998 under his pseudonym Arne Dahl with the crime series about the so-called A-Gruppe, a special investigation group with the Swedish police around Paul Hjelm and Kerstin Holm for crimes of international consequence. The series has been translated into many languages. According to Dahl's original idea, the series should ultimately consist of ten novels. In 2011, Viskleken started a new thriller series about a secret team of investigators from Europol. However, this series is a direct continuation of the crime series about the so-called A group and its main characters Paul Hjelm, Kerstin Holm as well as Jorge Chavez and Arto Söderstedt. You get international support, but the plot follows on from the previous ten parts.
Arnald lives in Stockholm and Berlin .

Film adaptations
The film adaptations of the first five Dahl thrillers under the series title of the same name: Arne Dahl is a joint production by Filmlance International in co-production with SVT, ZDF, Network Movie, ZDF Enterprises, Stockholm-Mälardalen Film Region, Nordisk Film Produktion in cooperation with YLE, TV2 AS. Filming began in 2010. All five novels were produced in two versions: a two-part (2 × 90 min each) and a feature film version (120 min). In Sweden, the two-part series is shown on television and the 120-minute version in the cinema.

Films 1–3 have been available on DVD since the end of November 2012, films 4 and 5 since February 2015.
The second five thrillers are now finished as Season 2; they were also produced in various lengths. They were produced as a co-production by Filmlance International with Sveriges Television, ZDF German Television Network, ZDF Enterprises GmbH and Nordisk Film Production and are available as a two-part (2 × 60 min each) or a long version (115 min each).
