At the beginning of the 2014/15 season he left the club and joined the third division team Dynamo Dresden . There he played his first competitive game for the club's reserve team on August 9 in the 1: 6 defeat against RB Leipzig II . The central defender made his third division debut on August 23, 2014 in the 2-0 defeat by FC Rot-Weiß Erfurt . In his second year he rose with Dynamo Dresden as champions of the 3rd division in the 2nd Bundesliga . In the following years Müller developed into a regular player in the first team of Dresden and temporarily acted alongside Marco Hartmann as team captain of the second division team. In the 2019/20 season he was relegated with Dynamo Dresden from the 2nd division and then left the club, as his contract, which originally ran until 2022, was not valid for the 3rd division.
