Jatzke village church

Jatzke is a district of the city of Friedland in the Mecklenburg Lake District in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania . From January 1, 2001 to May 25, 2014 Jatzke was part of the municipality of Eichhorst , before that the place was an independent municipality.

location

Jatzke is located on the Brohmer Berge ridge , around 18 kilometers east of Neubrandenburg . Surrounding villages are Heinrichswalde in the northeast, Neu Schönbeck in the southeast, Eichhorst in the southwest and Genzkow in the northwest. About two kilometers east of Jatzke is the state road 281 to Woldegk , four kilometers north-west is the federal road 197 .

history

In the 7th century, a Slavic rampart was built southeast of Jatzke , which indicates the first settlement of the place. In the following time the location was abandoned and repopulated several times. Today's village church was built towards the end of the 13th century. In the Middle Ages Jatzke had a manor, the associated manor house was destroyed by fire in 1945.

From 1701 to 1934 Jatzke belonged to Mecklenburg-Strelitz . From January 1, 1934, the village belonged to the state of Mecklenburg and there belonged to the district of Stargard . In 1939 Jatzke had 191 inhabitants. After the dissolution of the district Stargard 1946 Jatzke belonged to the district Neubrandenburg , who at the district reform in 1952 with the district Neustrelitz to district Neubrandenburg were combined. After reunification , the Neubrandenburg district was renamed the Neubrandenburg district. From 1994 the municipality of Jatzke belonged to the Mecklenburg-Strelitz district .

On January 1, 2001, the Jatzke community was dissolved and incorporated into Eichhorst . In September 2011 there was a district reform in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, in which the municipality of Eichhorst and the Jatzke district became part of the Mecklenburg Lake District . The municipality of Eichhorst was dissolved on May 25, 2014 and incorporated into Friedland , Jatzke and Eichhorst have been districts of Friedland with equal rights since then.
