Jerky ( Ukrainian and Russian Єрки ; Russian transcribed Jerki ) is an urban-type settlement in the Ukrainian Cherkassy Oblast with about 4,000 inhabitants (2014).
Founded in the first half of the 18th century, it received urban-type settlement status in 1960.
geography
Jerky is located on the Shpolka (Ukrainian Шполка ) shortly before its confluence with the Hnylyj Tikytsch between the 6 km south lying Rajonzentrum Katerynopil and the 8 km northeast lying city Watutine .
