Schramkivka ( Ukrainian Шрамківка ; Russian Шрамковка Schramkowka ) is an urban-type settlement in the northeast of the Ukrainian Cherkassy Oblast with about 2800 inhabitants (2014).
The village, founded in the 16th century, has had the status of an urban-type settlement since 1956.
geography
Shramkivka is located in the Rayon Drabiw 23 km north of Rajonzentrum Drabiw and 93 kilometers north of the Oblastzentrum Cherkassy on Tschumhak ( Ukrainian Чумгак ), a 72-kilometer long tributary of the Orschyzja (Ukrainian Оржиця , river system Sula ). The territorial road T-24-09 runs through the village and north of Schramkivka there is a train station on the Lubny - Kiev railway line .
In addition to Schramkivka, the settlement Vysneve (Ukrainian Вишневе ) with about 270 inhabitants belongs to the settlement council . In the south, the village of Mojssivka , which was visited several times by Taras Shevchenko in the 1840s, borders the municipality.
