Buky ( Ukrainian Буки ; Russian Буки Buki ) is an urban-type settlement in the Ukrainian Cherkassy Oblast with around 1900 inhabitants (2014).
The settlement, first mentioned in 1601, forms its own settlement council within the Mankiwka Raion and is located in the Dnieper highlands on the T – 24–05 territorial road 158 km west of the Cherkassy Oblast center and 19 km north of the Mankiwka Raion center . In 1965 the town received urban-type settlement status. The Hirskyj Tikytsch flows through Buky and forms a picturesque valley here.
Until 1959, Buky was the district center of the Buky Rajons of the same name .
