Johann Riederer (civil servant)

Johann Riederer (born July 3, 1910 in Graisbach ; † January 15, 1979 in Landshut ) was a Bavarian administrative officer and district president of Lower Bavaria .

Life

After studying law in 1939, Riederer joined the Bavarian government. From May 1942 was followed by military service and captivity . From 1950 he worked for the Bavarian Supreme Building Authority. 1963 to 1975 he was the district president of Lower Bavaria . Alongside Hans Kapfinger and Gustav Haydn , he had been one of the ideas behind the establishment of a university in Passau since 1963 . In 1970 he became chairman of the University of Passau eV board of trustees and remained so until his death.
