The Jordan national basketball team represents the Kingdom of Jordan in men's international basketball matches.

history

Jordan has been a regular participant in the Asian Basketball Championship since the 1980s . Although the Jordanian team has played in the continental championships for many years, they did not qualify for the Olympic Games or World Championships for a long time. It was not until the Asian Championships in 2009 that Jordan achieved its first medal placement with third place. This meant that Jordan was also qualified for the 2010 World Cup. There, however, Jordan was eliminated after the preliminary round. Jordan achieved its best result so far at the 2011 Asian Championships with a second place. That was also the pre-qualification for the 2012 Olympic Games in London. At the last qualifying tournament for the Olympic Games in Venezuela in June 2012, Jordan did not survive the preliminary round and was eliminated.
