Josef Franz Nikolaus Kollmann (born October 23, 1868 in Laibach ; † June 16, 1951 in Baden , Lower Austria ) was an Austrian businessman and politician of the Christian Social Party (CS).

Life

Josef Kollmann was Mayor of Baden from 1919 to 1938 . Between 1919 and 1920 Kollmann was a member of the Constituent National Assembly and from November 5, 1918 to May 4, 1919 a member of the provisional state parliament of Lower Austria. From 1920 to 1934 he was a member of the National Council ( I. , II. , III. And IV . Legislative period ) and 1926 Austrian Minister of Finance .

Kollmann initiated the establishment of the casino in Baden and was an opponent of the corporate state . In 1940 the National Socialists tried him in vain for alleged abuse of official authority and embezzlement of the Kollmann Fund entrusted to him .
