Joshua Bolten

Joshua Brewster Bolten (born August 16, 1955 ) is an American politician .

Bolten served as White House Chief of Staff from April 14, 2006 to January 20, 2009 under US President George W. Bush . With his appointment, he replaced Andrew Card . Bolten is a Republican and worked for the American investment bank Goldman Sachs before starting his political career . From 2003 to 2006 he headed the budgetary authority, the Office of Management and Budget, in the Bush cabinet . Bolten has completed the Young Leader program of the German elite network Atlantik-Brücke .
