Kénitra (province)
Province of Kénitra within the Gharb-Chrarda-Béni Hsen region
Kénitra ( Arabic إقليم القنيطرة, Tamazight : ⵜⴰⵙⴳⴰ ⵏ ⵇⵏⵉⵟⵕⴰ) is a province in Morocco . It is located in the west in the Gharb plain north of Rabat and has belonged to the Rabat-Salé-Kénitra region since the administrative reform of 2015 . The province has a good 1.1 million inhabitants - despite the reduction to include the area of the newly created Sidi Slimane province in 2009.
