Vanhanen II Cabinet

The Vanhanen II cabinet was the 70th government in Finnish history . She was sworn in on April 19, 2007 and remained in office until June 22, 2010. In addition to the Center Party of Prime Minister Matti Vanhanen , it included the rally party, the Greens and the Swedish People's Party.

On June 24, 2003 Matti Vanhanen succeeded Anneli Jäätteenmäkis . He led a coalition of the Center Party, the Social Democratic Party and the Swedish People's Party. After losses to the Social Democrats in the parliamentary elections on March 18, 2007 , Vanhanen formed the new center-right coalition.

On June 18, 2010, Vanhanen announced his resignation - officially because of health problems. Mari Kiviniemi succeeded him and led the government until the 2011 general election .
