Kaetlyn Osmond (born December 5, 1995 in Marystown , Newfoundland and Labrador ) is a Canadian figure skater who starts in a single run . She is the 2018 world champion .

Osmond surprisingly won Skate Canada in 2012 . Then she became Canadian champion . This was the first time she qualified for the four continents championships and the world championships . She came in seventh or eighth place .

Thanks to two second places in Skate Canada and Cup of China , she qualified for the first time in her career for the Grand Prix final in 2016 , where she finished fourth.
