Towards the end of the 18th century there were 2 properties in Kagenhof. The high court exercised the Brandenburg-Ansbach city bailiff Langenzenn . The village and township government had the Landpflegamt Nuremberg held. The landlords were the Mendelsche Twelve Brothers House Foundation of the imperial city of Nuremberg (1 half yard) and the Nuremberg owner von Pömer (1 half yard).

As part of the municipal edict, Kagenhof was assigned to the Seukendorf tax district formed in 1808 and the Horbach rural community founded in the same year .

Kagenhof was incorporated into Veitsbronn in April 1953 by the then Horbach community.
