Retzelfembach (colloquially: "Rédslfemba") is a district of the municipality of Veitsbronn in the Middle Franconian district of Fürth .

geography

The village lies on the Fembach , which flows into the Zenn 200 meters further southeast as a left tributary . In the west is the Puschendorfer Grund and the winter tendrils, in the north the Kühberg and in the northeast the Bösfeld. Municipal roads lead to Veitsbronn to the district road FÜ 8 (1.7 km east), to Raindorf to FÜ 17 (0.7 km southwest) and the FÜ 7 crossing to Tuchenbach to FÜ 8 (2.4 km north). An agricultural traffic route leads to Puschendorf (2 km northwest).

history

The place was first mentioned in 1396 in the Berg'schen Reichslehenbuch as "Nidernvembach" and "Retzelvembach". The basic word of the place name is the water body name Fembach, which means Sumpfbach, the defining word for the personal name Retzel. The place was probably created by Kirchfembach as an expansion site.

At the end of the 18th century there were 22 properties in Retzelfembach. The high court and the village and community rulership was exercised by the Brandenburg-Ansbach municipal bailiff's office in Langenzenn . The landlords were the Cadolzburg caste office in Brandenburg-Ansbach (1 quarter courtyard , 2 estates, 2 houses, 1 shepherd's house), the Burgfarrnbach lordship (1 courtyard, 4 estates), the imperial city of Nuremberg : Spitalamt (1 half courtyard ), St. Klara monastery office ( 1 Gütlein), St.-Klara-und-Pillenreuth-Klosteramt (1 estate) and Nuremberg owners: von Fürer (1 estate), von Haller (1 estate), von Imhoff (1 estate), von Oelhafen (1 yard, 2 Half yards, 1 estate, 1 house).

As part of the community edict, Retzelfembach was assigned to the Veitsbronn tax district formed in 1808 . It belonged to the rural community of Tuchenbach , which was formed in the same year . In voluntary jurisdiction, 7 properties were subordinate to the Buchschwabach Patrimonial Court from 1821 to 1848 , 6 properties to the Burgfarrnbach Patrimonial Court until 1848 , 1 property from 1822 to 1848 to the Scheurl zu Fischbach Patrimonial Court and 1 property to the Imhoff Patrimonial Court until 1812 .

On January 1, 1980, Retzelfembach, then with around 350 inhabitants, was reclassified from Tuchenbach to Veitsbronn after a public survey.
