geography

The community is located about 15 km west of the city of Fürth . There are no other districts apart from the main town. Neighboring communities are Obermichelbach , Veitsbronn , Puschendorf and the city of Herzogenaurach .

Community structure

The political community Tuchenbach consists only of the main town.

history

The place was first mentioned in 1284 as "Tuchenbach". The place name is derived from an identical water body name, the defining word of which is probably the personal name Tucho.

At the end of the 18th century there were 31 properties in Tuchenbach. The high court and the village and community rulership was exercised by the Brandenburg-Ansbach municipal bailiff's office in Langenzenn . The landlords were the Cadolzburg caste office in Brandenburg-Ansbach (ten courtyards, six estates, one house, a shepherd's house, a smithy, a little fire house), the Bamberg office in Herzogenaurach (four estates, two houses), the Langenzenn hospital (an inn), the imperial city Nuremberg : Landesalmosenamt (an estate), St. Klara Monastery Office (an estate), Spitalamt (an estate) and the Nuremberg owner von Scheurl (1 half yard).

In 1792 the margraviate of Ansbach - and thus also Tuchenbach - fell to Prussia and then in 1806 to the Kingdom of Bavaria .

As part of the municipal edict, Tuchenbach was assigned to the Veitsbronn tax district in 1808 . In the same year the rural community Tuchenbach was founded, to which Retzelfembach belonged. The municipality was under the administration and jurisdiction of the Cadolzburg Regional Court and the Cadolzburg Rent Office for the financial administration . From 1862 Tuchenbach was administered by the Fürth district office (renamed the Fürth district in 1938 ). In 1872 jurisdiction was transferred to the Fürth District Court , and since 1880 it has been with the Fürth District Court . The financial administration was taken over by the Rentamt Fürth (renamed Finanzamt Fürth in 1920 ) in 1870 . In 1961 the municipality had an area of 10.259 km².

On January 1, 1980, after a public survey, the Retzelfembach part of the municipality , which had about 350 inhabitants at the time, was reclassified to Veitsbronn.

Coat of arms of Tuchenbach
Blazon : "Under a shield head quartered with silver and blackin blue, a silver sloping wavy bar , covered by a golden shuttle placed at an angle to the left."

Yellow, black and white municipal flag

Justification of the coat of arms: The head of the shield , quartered with silver and black, points to the burgraves of Nuremberg and later margraves who had court and manorial rights in the municipality since 1248. The shuttle is reminiscent of the former weaving mills, which for a long time represented an important line of business for the population. The wave beam is talking to the local name component -bach .
