Karin Eckhold
Karin Eckhold (born January 28, 1938 in Hamburg ; † July 3, 2018 there ) was a German actress , opera singer (soprano), radio play and voice actor .
Life
The trained opera singer Karin Eckhold had singing lessons with Hedwig Schilling from 1958 to 1965 and made her debut in 1965 at the Stadttheater Luzern , of which she was a member until 1968. Engagements in Hagen and Bern followed . From 1971 to 1974 she took private acting lessons from Anne Marks-Rocke . From 1973 further engagements followed, inter alia, at the Theater am Dom in Cologne, the Ateliertheater in Bern and the Theater des Westens in Berlin. But Karin Eckhold was mostly on stages in Hamburg. B. at the Operettenhaus , where she played Eliza in My Fair Lady in 1976 . She also appeared at the Thalia Theater , in the small comedy with Peter Ahrweiler , at the Kammerspiele , in the Ernst-Deutsch-Theater and in the Theater im Zimmer .
Since 1980 Karin Eckhold has also been seen regularly on television. In 1980 and 1981, she played one of the leading roles alongside Claus Wilcke in the 26-part ZDF early evening series IOB - Special Order and in several episodes of the Großstadtrevier series . She became known to a wide audience in particular through the ratings hit Die Schwarzwaldklinik . There she embodied the role of Miss Meis , called "Meislein", the secretary of Professor Brinkmann alias Klausjürgen Wussow in 43 episodes . In this role she was seen again in 1991 in the program The biggest festival of the year - Christmas with our television families and in 2005 in Die Schwarzwaldklinik - The Next Generation . She was also a frequent guest at the Haifischbar as a singer.
Karin Eckhold was in several episodes of the series Knight Rider , Highway to Heaven and The Six Million Dollar Man as a voice actress working and the German voice of various American colleagues. She also lent her voice to Shera Danese in the Columbo episode Murder à la carte . In the Ottifanten film Kommando Störtebeker she spoke the character of Renate Bommel .
Karin Eckhold was also a very busy speaker in radio plays. In the Otto Ottifanten series she was Mamafant , a character who probably corresponds to Renate Bommel , whom she dubbed . Eckhold also worked in some episodes of the series TKKG , Tim & Struppi or Das Sternentor . At Hörspielland.de their participation is recorded in 63 radio plays.

Karin Eckhold lived with her husband Otmar Herren, who was managing director of the Theater und Philharmonie Essen GmbH from 1991 to 2008, in Hamburg. On July 4, 2018, the couple was found dead in their apartment. The police assume a joint suicide .
