Kobilje ( Hungarian Kebeleszentmárton , German: Kebell ) is a municipality in the Prekmurje region in Slovenia .

Kobilje is located in the extreme northeast of Slovenia, in the immediate vicinity of the Hungarian border. It is one of three Slovenian municipalities that consist of only one village. 624 inhabitants live in the village. The closest Hungarian center is Lenti .

Kobilje was mentioned in writing for the first time in 1208. In 1627 the place was destroyed by the Turks . In the middle of the village are two mighty service tree trees ( Sorbus torminalis ), which are among the largest and oldest in Slovenia.
