Keita Endō ( Japanese 遠藤 渓 太 , Endō Keita ; born November 22, 1997 in Yokohama , Kanagawa Prefecture ) is a Japanese football player . The winger is under contract with Yokohama F. Marinos and is currently on loan to 1. FC Union Berlin .

Career

Keita Endo learned to play football in the youth team of the first division club Yokohama F. Marinos in Yokohama . Here he signed his first professional contract in 2016. By 2020 he had completed a total of 103 first division games. In 2019 he celebrated the Japanese football championship with the Marinos. For the 2020/21 season he moved to 1. FC Union Berlin in the Bundesliga on loan with an option to buy for one year .

National team

Keita Endo played 13 times for the U20 national team . He wore the U21 jersey 16 times . For the U23 he was on the field five times. Since 2019 he has played in the national team of Japan . He made his international debut on December 10, 2019 in a game of the East Asian Cup against China at the Busan Gudeok Stadium in Busan .
