history
The place was a settlement that was founded by Bissingen, i.e. a home east of Bissingen. The foundation is likely to have taken place in the 7th century, as row grave finds on the Kappelberg testify. 1375 a church on the Kappelberg is mentioned. Kesselostheim was the seat of a rulership , in 1270 an Ulrich von Ostheim is handed down who cannot be clearly assigned to the place. In the late Middle Ages , the Vetter family from Donauwörth came into possession of the place, which they sold to Mönchsdeggingen monastery in 1459 . A Sölde belongs to the Hohenburg-Bissingen rulership . Through secularization , Kesselostheim came to the Counts of Oettingen-Wallerstein in 1803 and through mediatization in 1806 to Bavaria .
