Kevin Pannewitz (born October 16, 1991 in Berlin ) is a German football player who is used as a right-footed defensive player both in central defense and as a six .

Career

Youth in Berlin and Rostock

Born in Berlin in central midfield player went through the youth sections of clubs in his hometown Normannia , Frohnau , North Berliner SC and Tennis Borussia before 2008 in the A-youth of Hansa Rostock moved with which he 2008/09 in the A-Youth Bundesliga played.

Beginnings at Hansa Rostock

Just one year later, Pannewitz moved up to the men's division as an A-youth and completed his first appearance in the fourth-class regional league north for the Rostock reserve team on September 20, 2009, the eighth matchday of the 2009/10 season . Pannewitz saw the red card and initially missed further missions, but a few days after his 18th birthday he took part in the training of the licensed team in mid-October, which competed in the 2nd division in 2009/10 . On November 2, 2009 he was finally appointed to the starting line-up by coach Andreas Zachhuber for the second division game against FC St. Pauli . On November 25th, he signed a professional contract with the Rostockers, initially dated until 2013.

In the further course of the season Pannewitz established himself in the Rostock professional team and completed a total of 16 second division appearances, while he was occasionally called up in the reserve team. At the end of the season, Rostock had to accept relegation to the 3rd division , which is why the reserve was withdrawn to the fifth-class Oberliga Nordost for cost reasons . Finally, Pannewitz helped out again in the A-youth when he played in the final of the German A-youth championship 2009/10 in a 1-0 win against Bayer 04 Leverkusen .

Pannewitz, who had meanwhile also been invited to courses for the German U-19 national team, but was not used for them, was meanwhile also being courted by Bundesliga club Werder Bremen . In contrast to Felix Kroos , who now moved from Rostock to Bremen, Pannewitz initially wanted to stay with Hansa.

In the 2010/11 season Pannewitz was with 35 out of 38 possible missions to the top performer in the third division team now coached by Peter Vollmann , with whom he achieved immediate promotion as second in the final table. Hansa also won the Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania State Cup this season , to which Pannewitz had contributed with a goal in four appearances. At that time he was considered a highly talented player, who was also said to have deficiencies in terms of discipline. He was noticed several times due to weight problems, and he was repeatedly suspended for short periods due to unprofessional behavior such as excessive alcohol consumption.

During the second division season 2011/12 Pannewitz was finally transferred to the second team in November 2011 after eleven second division appearances due to renewed lack of discipline. After Rostock had replaced coach Vollmann with Wolfgang Wolf in December 2011 , however, he announced that Pannewitz would be part of the professional team again from January 2012. After he had meanwhile played for the reserve team again, he came in the second half of the season to another ten missions for Hansa's second division team. At the end of the season, however, Rostock rose again to the 3rd division.

Pannewitz at VfL Wolfsburg

In May 2012, Pannewitz completed a trial session at the first division club VfL Wolfsburg , which was trained by Felix Magath , which is why the media reported that he could leave Hansa for a transfer fee of 300,000 euros. At the beginning of June 2012 Pannewitz finally signed a two-year contract with VfL Wolfsburg. After the season, however, his contract was terminated by mutual agreement. At VfL, Pannewitz only made two short appearances in the U23.

Goslar, Berlin and Oranienburg

In October 2013, Pannewitz signed a contract with Goslarer SC 08 . In July 2015 he moved to VSG Altglienicke in Berlin in the 6th division. In July 2016 he joined the Oranienburger FC Eintracht and played in the Brandenburgliga.

Jena as the last chance in professional football

In mid-August 2017, Pannewitz signed a two-year contract with FC Carl Zeiss Jena . Through his brother-in-law and Jena's striker Timmy Thiele , he had been given a trial training session with the Thuringians. After Pannewitz had trained for almost two months, significantly reduced his excess weight and demonstrated good training performance, the club and the players agreed on a performance-related contract. On matchday 21 of the 2017/18 season he was used in the professional squad for the first time in CZ Jena's 0-1 defeat at Fortuna Cologne . On January 9, 2019, Pannewitz's contract was extraordinarily terminated. Since, according to Pannewitz, this happened without giving any reason, the player then sued his ex-club in the Gera labor court . At the beginning of April 2019, the players and the club agreed on a settlement of an unknown amount. In the online fan shop of the association a special T-shirt was offered as a result, his chest in paradise , there's not only Holy graced, on the back was the exclusive Kevin Pannewitz-shirt. Take care, Digga! imprinted.

Berlin district league

In mid-September 2019, the defensive player joined the Berlin district league club SC Siemensstadt after eight months of being without a club , which he left without being used a month later. He then went to the Schöneberg district league club FC Amed. Pannewitz scored three goals in eight games for the club until the season was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic . Unbeaten he rose to the seventh-class district league with FC Amed.
