The license plate of Saudi Arabia are since 2012 from the Government Printing Press in Riyadh made. The signs have a white background, black text and are divided into five fields. They are always bilingual in Arabic (top line) and in Latin script (bottom line). The actual combination consists of four digits and three letters. On the right edge there is a white field with the Saudi coat of arms , the nationality symbol KSA for English Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and a black circle. The color of this field and the geometric symbol differ depending on the type of vehicle. In the case of export indicators, a triangle with a tip pointing to the left appears in place of the circle, the background is gray. Public transport vehicles show a yellow stripe on the right edge and a triangle with an upward pointing tip. Truck license plates have a light blue border with a triangle pointing downwards.

To ensure that they are forgery-proof, the signs have a hologram . Saudi license plates are issued in both US size (12 × 6 ") and European standard size (520 × 110 mm). In the long version, the section with the coat of arms and nationality symbols is in the middle of the plate.
