License plate (Israel)
Israeli license plates are visually similar to the European standard for license plates. As with the euro license plates, there is a blue fieldon the left-hand side thatshowsthe flag of Israel and the nationality symbol IL from top to bottom. Furthermore, the country name appears in Hebrew (ישראל) and Arabic script (إسرائيل).
Standard license plate
The actual license plate consists of seven or eight digits, which are divided into three groups by two dots (e.g. 12•345•67
or 123•45•678
). Under the first point is the symbol of the Israeli standardization body SII, a meme (מ) in a circle.
For American-sized license plates, the blue field is in the middle at the bottom. Older signs do not have a blue field.
The last two digits of the numbers currently issued are either the year of construction (80 to 90) or a number of the importer. 00 and 01 are vehicles with individual permits (trucks, buses, ...), 25 are taxis. There is no regional allocation. Normally, the number remains with the vehicle even if the registration is changed, unless there is a change in the type of registration or a new typing is necessary after a conversion.

These vehicles are exempt from vehicle tax and may not be driven on working days, Sunday to Thursday, during the morning rush hour between 7 a.m. and 9 a.m. Since 2011, vehicles that have already been imported in their historical condition have been given a combination of digits that ends with 55.
Palestinian Authority
The Palestinian Authority now issues its own license plates , before that the Palestinians had their own blue number plates with a Hebrew letter indicating the district.
