Kilian Baumann (born December 14, 1980 in Bern ; resident in Wileroltigen ) is a Swiss politician ( Greens ).

Life

Kilian Baumann is the son of Ruedi and Stephanie Baumann , the first Swiss National Council couple, and the younger brother of the filmmaker Simon Baumann . After attending primary school, he completed an apprenticeship as a farmer and in 2001 took over his parents' business in Suberg . Kilian Baumann lives in a partnership and is the father of three children.

In 2014 Baumann was elected to the Grand Council of the Canton of Bern for the Green Party , where he was a member of the Justice Commission from 2014 to 2018 and of the Building, Energy, Transport and Spatial Planning Commission from 2017. He was re-elected in 2018 and has been a member of the Building, Energy, Transport and Spatial Planning Commission ever since. In the national parliamentary elections on October 20, 2019 , Baumann was elected to the National Council for the Greens . He then resigned from the Grand Council in November 2019.

Baumann is a member of the board of directors of Grünen Seeland , a board member of the Von Rütte-Gut Foundation in Sutz-Lattrigen and a member of the school board of the BWZ vocational and advanced training center in Lyss .
