Kinksi (German Kingse ) is a village ( Estonian küla ) in the rural municipality of Lääneranna in Pärnu County (until 2017: rural municipality of Hanila in Lääne County ) in Estonia .

Population and location

The place has 31 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2011). They live in an area of ​​725 hectares. The distance to Haapsalu is 60 kilometers.

The place has been documented since 1564. It was on the important trade route to the island of Saaremaa .

The Karuse Church of St. Margaret is on the present-day territory of the village . The fortress church dates from the 13th century.
