Rooglaiu is a village ( Estonian küla ) in the rural municipality of Lääneranna in Pärnu County (until 2017: rural municipality of Hanila in Lääne County ) in Estonia . Until the reestablishment of the rural community Lääneranna, the place was called "Rannaküla" and was renamed to differentiate itself from Rannaküla , as both are now in the same rural community.

The place has twelve permanent residents (as of December 31, 2011). It is located directly on the Baltic Sea and is part of the Matsalu National Park .

From Rooglaiu a path leads north to the Rooglaiu neem headland with its small anchorage. The landscape is dominated by juniper . Numerous cranes gather there in summer .

In Rooglaiu, on the former Mäe talu farm, there is the Algallika cultural and recreational center (in German "Urquell"). It also offers overnight accommodation.
