Lääneranna is a rural municipality in Pärnu County, Estonia .
The rural community was created in 2017 through the merger of the rural communities of Varbla and Koonga in Pärnu County and Lihula and Hanila in Lääne County . In terms of area, it is the fifth largest in Estonia.
In addition to the administrative center and the only city Lihula , the community consists of a large village ( Virtsu ) and 150 villages.
