Viimsi is a rural community in Harju County, Estonia, with an area of 72.8 km². It has 10,830 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2005).
In addition to the main town Viimsi (2338 inhabitants), the municipality also includes the villages Haabneeme (3163 inhabitants), Leppneeme (309), Lubja (467), Laiaküla (191), Miiduranna (466), Muuga (307), Pringi (878), Pärnamäe (438), Püünsi (1033), Randvere (879), Rohuneeme (438), Tammneeme (337), Äigrumäe (122), Kelvingi (389), Metsakasti (314) and Naissaare (10).
The area of the municipality also includes the islands of Naissaar (1890 ha), Prangli (650 ha) and the smaller islands of Aksi , Tiirlood , Keri , Kräsuli , Seinakari, Kumbli and Pandju in the Gulf of Finland .
The landscape around the Viimsi peninsula, the picturesque Baltic Sea coast and the numerous ports invite many sea lovers to visit the community.
