Viimsi is a rural community in Harju County, Estonia, with an area of ​​72.8 km². It has 10,830 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2005).

In addition to the main town Viimsi (2338 inhabitants), the municipality also includes the villages Haabneeme (3163 inhabitants), Leppneeme (309), Lubja (467), Laiaküla (191), Miiduranna (466), Muuga (307), Pringi (878), Pärnamäe (438), Püünsi (1033), Randvere (879), Rohuneeme (438), Tammneeme (337), Äigrumäe (122), Kelvingi (389), Metsakasti (314) and Naissaare (10).

The area of ​​the municipality also includes the islands of Naissaar (1890 ha), Prangli (650 ha) and the smaller islands of Aksi , Tiirlood , Keri , Kräsuli , Seinakari, Kumbli and Pandju in the Gulf of Finland .
