The landmark of Mihkli is the Evangelical Lutheran Church of St. Michael, built in the 13th or 14th century. It was first mentioned in a document in 1359. The base of the baptismal font dates from around this time.

Its current appearance dates from the 18th and 19th centuries. Century. The single-nave church building is made of local limestone . The protective corridor on the north wall in the transept indicates its function as a fortified church in earlier times. It could be reached with a ladder through a trap door at a height of 4 m. The church underwent significant changes during the 19th century when the west portal was walled up. The pulpit of the St. Michaelis Church dates from 1818, the altar from 1906. The organ is the work of the famous Tallinn organ builder Gustav Normann (1825-1893) from 1878.

From 1779 to 1781 the west tower of the church was completed. The church bell was cast in Stockholm in 1684 . Locals buried them during World War II ; it did not come to light again until 28 years later.

In the old cemetery there are three chapels from the 19th century. At the new Mihkli cemetery, a memorial has been commemorating the fallen parishioners of the First World War and the Estonian War of Independence (renewed in 1988) since 1926 .

Mihkli is also known for its historic oak park . The average height of the trees is 16 m. Most oaks are around 200 years old, the oldest up to 300 years.
